And just like that

Sembreak was over.

Today's the first day of classes for second semester.

It's interesting, because the subjects I have right now are all obtained with my willpower, and also through with the favor of the online registration server, CRS.

Basically, I'm highly interested with the subjects I have today.

But there's a problem.

All of the classes are schedule early in the morning, earliest at 7 am.

The problem is, I can't wake up that early. I spent the past 6 years or so not waking up that early.

And so, I missed the 7 am class earlier.

I hope I can change my lifestyle before it's too late.

Cheers.

Oh CRS

See, we get to enroll online and see our grades online through Computer Registrated System or CRS.

When we enroll online, we make a pre-enlistment weeks before the actual enrollment period.

I am glad this was invented.

However, there's a catch. The pre-enlistment is random. You pre-enlist, but the computer system picks the student for a certain class by random. So you might not get the subjects you pre-enlisted.

Lucky for me, I was able to get most of what I wanted.

Sembreak

Laziness will be eating me for the next few weeks.

Nothing to write here.

Papers

Two more papers and I'm done with first sem.

First paper is a critic paper. This will serve as my final exam for a subject.

I've already done that yesterday. Saved it on our pc.

Today our pc broke and it won't open. How grand.

So I'm on my mom's laptop right now.

And since I already know what I'm gonna type for the critic paper, I decided to do the other paper first, which is somewhat a reaction paper for Psychology.

What I'm supposed to do is relate our Psychology experiment to specific cases in the Philippines. Minimum of five pages. Yet I don't know what to type, since I didn't participate much in the said experiment (I was in the debating thing kasi.)

Deadline's on Tuesday. Time's 12.00 am, Monday. I'm screwed.

Just grand.

Exam week was... not much of an exam week.

So let me get this straight. I'm in UP, right?

THE UP? The university deemed as the premier university of the Philippines, and in Asia even?

Why do I have so much lax in schedules and exams?

See, I have five subjects this first semester.

And all of them didn't have final exams.

So what did they give us this exam week? Two long quizzes, a speech presentation, a theater presentation, and a critic paper.

No final exams.

And that's too lax compared to the other schools.

Anyway, I'm done with all of them except the critic paper, of which I'm gonna type later after this blog post. And after I submit this paper on Tuesday, I'm freeeeeeeeejeffreeeeeeeeee

Sembreak, Isa pa to. Our sembreak's gonna go for a month. I don't know what to do on a month of vacation =_=

Got some ideas?

And Poof!

Months and months have passed. I've adapted to the college lifestyle.

There has been so many events that happened that I don't know where to start.

Ok, let's see.

1. I joined a debating org, Argumentum.

And with Argumentum, we attended debating tournaments, such as Luzon Intervarisities and Northern Luzon Debate Council Debtour. Our team didn't win any, nor did any team from our org. But we did make it to the finals, and that's already a noteable achievement (can't explain how or why, just belieeeeeve me :) )

2. I participated on a per-bloc freshmen competition.

This includes having our class perform a 5-minute anything-we-want-to-perform-on-stage-in-front-of-so-many-people performance. Of course, I get to be the technical dude. Aaaaand we didn't win either. But it was fun indeed.

Loner

Yeah, apparently, I was a loner.

For the first three days of class, I haven't met anyone properly.

All I've been doing was going up and down the multitude of stairs of the college to work on getting a PE subject. Well, earlier this morning, I was able to secure a PE subject. So that was done.

So I gave "making friends" a shot. And it worked.

I didn't actually made friends. But at least, I got acquainted with a few people.

It was nice, having them call me by name.

Something about

The first day was… pretty normal actually.

There was a misunderstanding (?) about which block I really belong to, but after a multitude of staircases and a few questions, I finally got to know the real block.

Honestly, I am quite relaxed, since my schedule’s pretty lenient. I mean, in high school, my classes were from 8 am to 11 am, lunch break, then 1 pm to 5 pm.

But today my classes went from 10 am to 1 pm, lunch break, then 4 pm to 6 pm! Too lax compared to high school!

I met a few professors today. They give off this, I-am-a-professional aura that I have to adapt to. They try to be friendly, but I can see through them and know that they are merciless and highly professional.

Or maybe I’m just intimidated. Most probably, I am.

I understand...

...very well that I left this blog for months and you are no longer expecting any updates to come.

But blah here's an update.

I graduated from high school last March.

And the day after tomorrow, comes the first day of college. Hooray! I guess.

Am I anxious? Scared even? Worried about adapting?

Nah. I'm not. I'm excited.

By the way, I will attend college at University of the Philippines, Baguio. And I am staying here at Baguio.

Gah, mind's messed up. Can't share straight. Basta, expect more updates to come from this blog.

Peace.

This...

...is going to stop, I think.

Everything is being cramped in a month. This February, our school year is going to end.

Leaving March for the graduation march practice and all the shtick we should practice on.

Good thing I've accomplished most of the work they've given us.

But not all.

So you can clearly infer that I was busy.

But that is not the reason why I haven't been blogging.

The blogging project for our TLE class is over. I do not have anymore obligation to continue blogging in this blog. The fact that school will be over soon isn't helping too.

The fact that my high school will be over soon amplifies the demotivation.

I'm sorry.

I think I should stop.

Just when I thought

Just when I thought I was over... broadcasting.

Yeah. We did another round of broadcasting as an activity for English.

This time, we're just composed of five people, unlike the other broadcasting team which has like eight? I'm too lazy to remember. Well anyway.

So, like then, I get to be the sound technician. But this time, since we're short of people, I also get to be the broadcaster. Ain't that grand?

NO.

Really, no.

It was hard. Very difficult to multi-task especially with all the tension within me—I'm still shaky with public speaking, even though it's just my voice they perceived from me (we were hidden behind dividers the whole time).

Also, this time, I was late for class again (overslept, argh). I had no chance to breathe. As soon as I entered the classroom, my teammate said, "We're on next, quick!" and I had to whip out my flash drive and cram.

I don't think it went out well. I wish it did. It's my fault again if it didn't.

Should I, or should I not? Maybe I should

I've been out from school the past week due to fever. Horrible fever.

So lately, I've been devoting my time to catching up to what I have missed—quizzes, homework, discussion notes—which is really exhausting.

But man, whenever you do work, the urge to procrastinate gets stronger by the minute. Especially if the work is boring, like, get my self to read a six-page novel excerpt.

I'll get through. Hopefully.

Oh and what excites me at the moment is the debate tournament that will take place in Baguio next month. Ooooh boy can't wait to debate. Can't wait to build up a castles and cannons of arguments in ten minutes, and face war thereafter. The tingling sensation of excitement, can't bear it.

And some more good news: I passed the entrance exam for the best uni in the Philippines... University of the Philippines! (Wikipedia has a page for it!) I had leg cramps when I knew about it, but I had to jump up and down in overwhelming joy.

Uncertainty part 2

I know it says part 2 but it has absolutely no connection with the older post.

Today, I'm uncertain with the class resume date.

During the last week of December, we thought classes would resume on Monday, January 2. So I went to school last Monday. Nope, there weren't classes.

Then that day, it was rumored that the classes will resume fully the next day January 3. But then came Tuesday, and there weren't any classes.

It is now official that the older rumor about classes resuming on January 9, Monday, is true.

But then again, some other guy with authoritah declared 9 as holiday, so classes should resume at 10.

I'm perplexed.
