Party

So we had our year-end/holiday party earlier.

It isn't called Christmas party, since there are people of different religion coming too.

Actually just a person.

Anyway.

We had fun, especially because of the games. Or because it's only games. And the games are tiring!

The gift I received from the exchange gift is awesome. It's a shirt, and all shirt gifts are awesome.

I liked the food though, and I couldn't actually discern whether they really used only 4 grand, since I was full like everybody else.

As much as 'emotional' goes, I really felt sad at the end of it, seeing that it's the last high school party we'll ever have.

They came, they saw, they conquered

And thus, our batch received its first trophy for being the over-all champions in the High School Festival  Celebration.

Indeed, we're all overwhelmed and happy.

The High School Festival Celebration consisted of many events, and the Seniors (us) grabbed first place in many of them.

Sweet!

Thus, we can now graduate from this school without longing for the championship experience.

Thank God our efforts have paid off.

The Big Day

Today's the day for the street dance and cheer dance dancers, nay warriors to show their skill and determination to win.

I cheered for the Seniors team. (Sorry, Juniors, Freshmen and Sophomores.)

The Seniors fought well in the battle. They really did. I was so proud. My chest was swelling with pride. Such talent from my classmates... such will to win!

The Seniors' street dance was a hit! It pumped up the sleeping crowd into cheering and clapping. Although, bias aside, I think the Freshmen owned the street dance competition. (Was I really unbiased?)

The Seniors' cheer dance is... LEGENDARY. YES. LEGENDARY.

Our batch, since first year, hasn't experienced being the champion for cheer dancing. But because of today's performance, I'm pretty sure that the curse is broken.

We.
Will.
Win.
This.

Results are released tomorrow. Keep praying and your fingers crossed.

Anticipation

Off the events, we had a lot of fun.

We watched movies nonstop. We ate lotsa food. I drank lotsa rootbeer.

We went home yesterday, late afternoon.

I and a couple of friends decided that we should pass by our school before heading home, to see if there are still students having their practice. (Today is the big day for street and cheer dance competitions.)

We saw our friends. I was overjoyed.

I saw the Seniors cheerdancing team, our year's team. I was excited.

They danced well, dear reader, they really did.

Last week, the last time I saw them, they were always slacking around, and I thought they had no chance of winning.

But when I saw them yesterday, I was overwhelmed. It's like they trained in the mountains in a span and learned the art of cheer dancing in a span of three days.

Yes, I was so excited. I was so happy.

Mostly, it's because I'm home.

Rootbeer

Thus I am back from the school trip. Actually that was yesterday.

So, as promised I shall update you of most the happenings during the three-day conference.

In detail? I can't promise you that. Well anyway.

There are different journalism events. 90% of them are individual contests, such as editorial writing, feature writing, and editorial cartooning. Each school garner points whenever they get in the top 7 for an individual event. Then, the points are added up to determine the winning schools.

Our school was the first runner-up among around ten (I'm not really sure) schools. Look at that!

Ahoy!

Chips... Ahoy!

Anyway.

I'm quite happy since I was miraculously able to wake up at 5 am. To jog!

Now.

I'm leaving in a few hours (minutes) for a school trip to another school, all for DSPC. It bothers me because I still don't know what that stands for.

But it's basically a string of events, specifically journalism events where schools will be competing with each other.

I happen to be a member of the broadcasting team.

The... AUDIO MAN! Sounds like a legit superhero eh?

Anyways, hope you pray for our safety and victory.

And off I go. I'll blog about the results after three days.

CNN

So I'm the audio-man for our school's broadcasting team. Which will be competing against schools.

Sweet eh?

I'm borrowing the older CNN themes as background music whenever the reporters from the team report.

And I must say, being the audio-man requires skill. Good timing and quick fingers.

Thus, I must watch more videos of news broadcasts all over the net. Must acquire information and tips.

The competition will take place next week, at Tuesday or Wednesday.

Done with that, and things to look forward to

The school paper's done... FINISHED! No hard prints yet, so I have my fingers crossed for a good outcome.

Now I have to look ahead for the things that are yet to come.

I'm excited for the debate practice, since it will be debate season this January-February. I want to get better with debating! Hone them skills yeah! (No I don't talk like that when I debate.)

There's also this DSPC thingy where I'll be taking part (barely) as a technical sound man for broadcasting contest.

And directly after that is the High School Month celebration (?), where I get to see everyone dance to their wits. A spectator I shall be, and I don't think that's rather a bad and boring part.

Then, Christmas celebrations! I must say, however my head tells my self to hide it, I am excited for the events concerning Christmas.

All of this in December. I can't wait. Anticipation. And a little bit of anxiety. I'll manage to contain myself.
