Piled Up

Ha. There are about four days left for our vacation—I like using em dashes—and I still haven't done homework.

And apparently, we're going to our relatives' place tomorrow, to visit my late grandma's grave. Common tradition for All Saint's Day.

Am I going to bring my homework with me?

I will. But I'm not certain if I'll be able to touch it even.

So. How's your vacation and homework?

Anyways, I shouldn't be updating Blue Jeans, since the theme suggests that I blog about 'school'—and it's sembreak. But, I should comply with the at least two posts per week rule. I'm sorry if all I'm going to post about are things related to school. No. Please don't leave me.

Wow. Awkward.

Cram

I finished the first part of the homework pile: the Araling Panlipunan module. Woohoo!

But before I successfully passed that cursed thing of the sembreak, I had to go through quite a lot.

It's really my fault though.

Actually, this module's been assigned to us the week before last week. I didn't do it, partly because last week was exams week, and mostly because I'm lazy. Come on, there are points in our lives where we don't really want to do work.

Certainty

In response to yesterday's Uncertainty: SEMBREAK. IS. OFFICIAL.

So we're gonna have the semestral break next week. Yay!

..or does it deserve a yay?

For one thing, we are given homework. And I can expect that it'll be heaps. Please don't be in heaps. Please.

Although exams are mostly done after earlier, (but there's one more for tomorrow: Maths) there are more waiting for us after the break. Some of the subjects are physics and chemistry--subjects I love but do not excel at.

Well, I'm definite that I would take this chance to recharge. By recharge I mean sleep 10 hours a day. And movie marathons. (I need recommendations for good movies by the way.)

Read books. And basketball. And stuff I would do on a vacation.

Is it me or does thinking about the vacation sounds quite boring enough? Sigh.

Oh well. I guess I should be thankful, and stop being a worry wart.

Uncertainty

Argh. Exams week. Torture? Nah.

Truth be told, I can safely say that for the past month, there hasn't been a single week wherein we would sit all day to attend classes. Why? It's because our school is a festive dude. It's got events and activities time to time. And most of the activities require excusing us out of our classes.

But now, it's an exam week. This week is bombarded with tests. (Which might bring you to ask me why I'm blogging, and not reviewing.) With the little time for discussion of topics and a lot of recommendations to do self-study at home due to school events, can I go pass this?

Answer's yes. I can. Yes I can. (I borrowed that, Obama. Thanks.)

There's still hope kasi. It is rumored that this week will be succeeded by a week long vacation: semestral break!

But it's just a rumor. It's still uncertain. The higher-ups are hesitant on granting us a sembreak because there are already plenty of cancelled school days due to different reasons, and strong typhoons are one of them.

So, will there be a sembreak? Half of me wants to have it. Who doesn't want a week of rest? The other half doesn't want the break. Mainly because I won't receive my daily allowance during the break. >:)

Becquerel-Rap

So, our group have this 'Sci-drama' presentation for Physics tomorrow. And I, with two of my friends who are also members of our group, agreed to make a rap segment for the presentation. Uh-yeah!

I'm just thinking about it now, and I can't help but chortle. The lyrics are in Tagalog. And they're comical. Too comical, in fact. Even the beat's funny! I do hope we can pull off the rap for tomorrow.

Fun fact: Our Sci-drama presentation is centered on Antoine Henri Becquerel, supposedly the discoverer of radioactivity.

Ah, I wish I can rap as good as this guy. Yo-yo-yo nationalism is joy yo!

Humiliation

School Intramurals day. I joined the chess tournament.

Sadly, I lost. Not only once, but I lost all three games I played. What's even worse is that I'm supposed to be the oldest player there.

But I lost, fair and square due to my ineptitude. Which makes me wonder, how the heck did I get in the tournament?

So am I humiliated? Yes, I am. However, I don't consider this as something that should drag me lower. (As if I can join another intrams next year.) Primarily, I just realized that my level isn't as high as I think it is. And better yet, I know that I still can improve.

I gave a good fight. I fought the battle. I lost honestly. That's all that matters.

Clarification

As much as I want to blog about my 'daily school life' experience, I won't be doing that.

We were given the minimal blog post number, which is at least twice per week. Seeing that there are five school days per week, I should do five blogs per school day to comply with this blog's theme.

But, I don't think I will.

Although it is apparent that I've already made three consecutive blogs since Monday (this is the third one), I think I won't be able to keep this up. It's not that I am busy enough to not be able to go onli- oh wait, I am busy. Not busy facebook-ing, but busy doing real life things. Like homework. Copying notes. Reading a book. Learning a new algorithm for solving the Rubik's cube. Staring at my bedroom's ceiling. Eating. Breathing...

My point's been perceived, I guess.

Join in!

The blog project is not only assigned to me, but to everyone else from my class (and the other sections.)

And it is quite amusing to see other people make their own blogs.

Months ago when I started blogging, I thought, "The things I write here will never be read by anyone. But that's ok."

"Blogging will never be a trend that will be followed by my friends and classmates, since facebook is out there."

But, here they are! Each of my friends and classmates are compelled to make one. I'm now more than interested to read their posts; and from that, I hope to get to know them better.

Anew

Our Information Communication Technology made us create a blog site. And here it is.

This blog is supposedly for sharing events from my average school day. Whether I was able to get a good score from a test, recite properly or when my recess snack was satisfying enough. Or maybe, less mundane than that.

One thing's for sure: the main focus of this blog is 'school life'. Anything that has to deal with school. May this post be a reminder for me whenever I do make a post to not stray from my focus.

You may ask, why Blue Jeans? Perhaps the main reason is that I always wear blue jeans when going to school. And another is because of an Eraserheads song entitled Blue Jeans, which is about school.

Anyways,
Blue Jeans blogs starts right...
Now.
